What is chicken tetrazzini?

Chicken Tetrazzini is a pasta-baked casserole made with chicken or turkey (or even seafood), mushrooms, and butter, cream-based sauce. Created by the famous American dish chef Ernest Arbogast in honor of Italian opera star Luisa Tetrazzini, who made her debut in the San Francisco Hotel in the 1900s.

The recipe for chicken tetrazzini:

Chicken tetrazzini is one of those dishes that when you first make it, you will think to yourself, "What a wonderful combination of gloopy ingredients." But then it all boils down to bubbles, you take a bite, and you all come in for life. HA This is one of the few foods I remember.

Ingredients needed:

Pasta - We use thin spaghetti, but you can really make it from any type of noodles you have. It is important to cook the almonds, as they will continue to cook as soon as the casserole is cooked and you do not want the noodles to become soft.

  • Chicken - I season and cook the chicken breasts and then chop them up, but the rotisserie chicken is great too. Both light and dark meats are delicious. (Great with leftover turkey too!)
  • Sauce - So this is one of the few recipes I make that requires cream of canned goods. I actually made the full version from scratch and honestly, I don't like it that much. Get in shape. And this method is faster! You will also need low sodium chicken broth, melted butter, and sour cream.
  • Spices - salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Cheese - Sliced mozzarella, cheddar, and perm all three delicacies!
  • Peas - I like sweet peas in this casserole or frozen peas and carrots for more flavor and color.

Pasta, chicken, sour cream, butter, and cheese. what’s not to love!
